Can you add attachments on to these racks? Or is it more just to set stuff on top of? So if I wanted to transport a piece of plywood....

yeah so the items i am selling aren't 'the usual suspects'....it's an oem kit and afaik it's not compatible with aftermarket kits....someone chime in if I am wrong

You won't find any attachments to go with these. I have the racks on both my tourings. I think they add some cool style!

I did, however, make my Volvo Thule Roof Box fit by taking some large "U" bolts and drilling holes in the box to secure them to the racks just like the original Thule set up. I'm sure this could be done with just about any roof rack attachment (bike, cargo rack, kyak/windboard rack, etc.)

Oh yeah, and my Blue Hole canoe rides up there with just a nose and stern tie down!
