hey guys,

I'm having mixed feelings about selling my car. I really really wanna keep it and mod the hell out of it, but it would really help getting rid of it because my insurance is REDICULOUS! So lets just say I do keep it...what mods should I do to it? I want to chip it, headers, exhaust, suspension. BUT most of the things I want to do seem as if they are not made for JUST MY CAR! Weird, like sites sell parts for every single BMW except E34 530i.

IDK guys help me out! Its either mod it and kill myself w/ insurance payments or sell it (seems like nobody wants it) and get something smaller which would relieve me of insurance premiums

I would love to see some pics and information about the car, and maybe your location to see if a purchase is possible!

I have a 530 and theres plenty of aftermarket stuff for it

Headers are hard to find, but a chip, exhaust, suspension should be easy to find. A lot of the parts are the same for the V8 540 and 530

Lot's of mods to do to a 530. CHeck out E34v8.org. They have a pretty comprehensive list of upgrades. I just installed the EAT Chip and it made a noticebale difference.

Sorry, sent you to wrong site:embarrasm . The site with the upgrades is Bruno's site

Look under upgrades, power enhancements are under recipe for power.

I just put the EAT, Mark D'Sylva, chip in my car on Wednesday night and what a difference. I drove it semi-gently home. The next day on the way to work I hit traction control on 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 shifts driving the way I normally do (the wife yelled at me on the cell phone...we live in a community...).
The chip really has woken the engine up down low. My wife drives an Acura TSX (iVTEC four banger) and the old v8 now revs like hers!
