Accomplished the cooling system overhaul last night with a working 16" electrical fan, the Fan delete mod is finished.

Today we hit the trailing arm bushings after assembling this very tool http://www.bimmerdiy.com/diy/e36rtab/ . I got about 1/3rd the way into it drilling at the old bushing, the thing was indeed bad. Then I was tearing away the rubber with pliers and slipped, smashing and fucking up my left hand, purple and blue now and its screwed up. I ended up having a near by friend help me finish the project, a couple hours later we had the new bushings pressed in and remounted, managed to keep the car's alignment straight, and the rear end is solid now, no more loose wheel feeling, huge improvement. So this time he gets half the credit for helping me finish it, no way I could of completed it after my accident there.

Either one of two things are going to happen tomorrow, either I'm doing the enigne oil, or I'm going to the hospital, my e36 sure did some damage to me today, I really hope I didn't break something in my hand here.

Here are three pics

Today was only wiring up the Sirius satelite receiver, but nothing more and need to reinstall the speakers and amp too.

As for the fan delete, it now has a relay set in there

I recommend you remount the relay so that the terminals are "down", rather than "up" as they are now because any water that happens to get in will not be able to drain from the case.

Where do you have the relay attached to? Also what fan did you end up with? Spal?

Ehh if it's not bleedin it's not broke haha jk I broke my hand twice last year it hurt pretty bad plus the casts always suck. Pretty sweet overhaul I can't wait to do my bushings I need my car to feel more stiff plus I'm puttin in a spal fan too

Its a Hayden fan purchased locally, works great and does its job

My hand is doing ok now, still purple but its not broke, if it was I would know it.

Did the oil and spark plugs today, another great improvement, runs even better than it did before and it was already running great back then.

New speakers showed up today :D and installed my sirius tuner last night too, finally got my Howard Stern back, love that show!

My Passanger window is acting funky now, I believe its a relay as I've narrowed the problem down to that area, thankfully regulator and motor is fine.

The car just keeps getting better and better, feels like a totally different car now vs before.

Didn't you pick it up on the cheap too? Looks great so far.

Always nice to work on a car and go for that drive after a fix/maintenance session.

I noticed your alternator vent is gone; is that by choice or no?

The alternator vent was totally worn away with half of it missing, and whenever it got touched by something it would crumble more, so I just pulled it because I dont with bits and pieces of plastic going into the alternator. I'll try to make a new vent pipe to go there, In the long tern I want it to be able to vent.

Edit: The relay

Good point on the relay, I suppose I should reposition it then, I'll do that before the next rain shows up.
