What would be a reasonable price for a full set of these rims? They are in fair condition, some curb rash with no tires on them.
They are the 8x16 with ET23 backspace. I currently have the 15" basket weaves.

I picked up a set of these, pretty clean with good tires, just too large to fit on my e34 without jackin it up 4x4 mode for like $250.

I would think they would fit. I am running the 15" rims with nice tall tires(stock size) and they fit so I would think the 16" with a lower profile tire would be ok.
What made them not fit without lifting the vehicle? Or are you slammed to the pavement.:D
Got pics of your car for comparison?

I sold mine without tires for $225 shipped, quick sale though.
They won't fit up front with most 225/55 tires...need a 3mm spacer at least.

I never mounted them. They were the 7 series tires size on them. I put one one and decided to wait till I got smaller profile tires but ended .up selling them

ok, that would make sense then. I don't think they would fit on mine either with recommended size tires. The 15" rims are a tight fit with the stock tire size.
From what I see I shouldn't go any higher than around 200.00 without rubber on them...

I'd keep them if you have honeycombs, you just have to get the correct tire size (not the E38 balloon size) and a small spacer. Mine were attractive winter wheels.
Then again, a set of Style 5s can be cheaper considering you can use existing tires and don't need a spacer (just $20 worth of hubcentric rings)

Around here I've seen them for as little as $100 for a set.. but 200-250 doesn't seem unreasonable. It is a style 5 wheel, but a single piece construction. OE fitment for e38 cars. My touring had a set of those on it with a set of 245/50-16's all around. Minor rubbing on the strut housing. A 3mm spacer would have been enough.
