Since you've only been a member for 8 months...I'll consider you a noob :) ...so for the 8978975786468907089678957 time... :stickoutt
All OE BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 models share the same wheel specs EXCEPT for the the e39 5 series...it has a slightly larger (74.1mm) wheel hub. Below are the wheel specs for the BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 models:
5x120mm wheel bolt pattern
72.56mm wheel hub/center bore (EXCEPT for the e39 which has a 74.1mm wheel hub/center bore)
11mm-28mm wheel offset range (the latest 5/6/7 models have a few REAR staggered wheels that have an offset as high as 32mm)
To mount other BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 wheels onto an e39 5 series...you'll need to have the wheel hubs bored out to fit the larger e39 hub. To mount e39 5 series wheels onto other BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 models...you'll need to use hub centric rings to "fill" the extra space.
BMW 1/3/z3/z4/x3/x5 models have a HIGHER wheel offset range (35mm-50mm+)...so forget about those wheels unless you want to pay extra for wheel spacers + boring out their 72.56mm wheel hub.
If you are looking at REPLICAs...then make sure that they have the specs for the e39...74.1mm wheel hub...5x120mm wheel bolt pattern...and a wheel offset range between 11mm-28mm.

6 series wheels don't fit straight on. They have the other centrebore. Plus tyresizes are way of..

if you really want them on there, you can have a machine shop bore out the hub to 74.1mm for about $50/wheel.
