WOW If you guys knew what happened today! So I decided to spray some starting fluid into the intake while cranking the car. It did start for about half a second or so.

I decided to spray some into the throttle body, and when I took the intake pipe off along with the ICV, I started messing with the ICV. All of a sudden there was something equivalent to a shotgun shot and a flame came out of the ICV hole. It made my ears ring for a good hour. No, I am not exaggerating.

What could have caused this? The battery was connected, the key was in the position 2.

IVC has an electric solenoid that lit the starter fluid.

Oh well then I'm not sure what lit the fluid the ICV was what lit the starter fluid on my car when I was diagnosing a dead fuel pump.

Do you have bad wiring to your engine?

You may have had a coil discharge, it's not impossible for that to happen.
