I bought some rims from an e46 330I 2001 and want to put them on my E34, I need spacers for the front, I am looking at these hubcentric spacers. Has anyone else done this and is there high speed performance issues?
Thanks to anyone that may know how I can do this.

I am currently sporting e90 wheels on my car... sans spacers. We had purchased some ebay ones and they threw off the entire balance of the car. I need to order some higher quality ones. If you're gonna do it, I definitely recommend spending the extra $ to get some that are gonna hold up.

I put on some $15.00 a piece spacers that where not hubcentric and did not have the hub extender. I get the shakes. The ones I am looking at have the hub extender and are hubcentric. Now just looking for a good price. Here is a link to site. I do not know what the offset of the rims means? anyone

That was the exact same problem I had. H&R sells metal ones that are supposed to be pretty great. I've been sans-spacers for a couple years now, and have had minimal rubbing issues. I do plan on getting some before I drop it, though.

Off set is a measurement from the mounting face of the wheel measured to the center of the wheel. So the e36 fitment wheel will have a high offset, somewhere in the et40 range. Check the wheel it will be cast into it. e34's are et20 cars, so to get that e36 wheel in the range of an e34 spec, you will need a 20mm thick spacer. So an e36 wheel on an e34 car will tuck itself way too far into the wheel well, and conversely an e34 wheel on an e36 car will stick out passed the fender line. You will also require longer wheel bolts, or studs if you decide to stud/nut the wheels. You will definitely need some high quality pieces to make this happen correctly. H&R and other quality companies should have the correct piece for you. The other route is to find a local machine shop and give them specs. I just had two front spacers made uo for the e30 locally(H&R did not have an application to my specs) for the same price that H&R wanted to charged for their spacers. H&R spacers are forged, I got billet for the same price! Check the f/s sections, you might be able to come up with the correct spacers. I would avoid anything no-name of ichiban like.
Good luck.

Thanks a lot,
Here is the link to the exact rim I am putting on my e34 525i. I am now thinking that I should try to match the offset. Back to learning how to calculate this.

Again, thanks
I found this calculator for the offset.

I think I have this
et20mm offset on the e34
et35mm offset on the e46 rims?
so I need a 15 mm hubcentric spacer with a hub lip. That runs about 80 to 100 dollars.
these are my conclusions, hope I am right!

They work great, I took it to 105 no problem. I have a minor shake at 45 but it is very minor and its something else I have to figure out. They spacers are great and I recommend them.

Don't do it.
Why would you want to?
Save your money for the right size wheels.
Something with an offset of 20mm or less.
Trust me, you'll be happy in the long run.
