Ready buyer here, willing to pay about $5000 for a nearly original 325IS, from 1989, 1990 or 1991.
I am looking for a car with under 150,000 miles, and religious routine maintenance. I am not looking for a high-priced car with a lot of mods. No light flywheels, injectors, wang foo intakes or fancy wheels, etc., etc. etc. I already have an M3 that scratched that crazy itch.
I am simply seeking a nearly original, rust-free car that has been loved and well cared for.
Thanks

What do you consider "top dollar"? In other words, what is your price range?
BTW, I used to have a crappy green 70 Cutlass. Best year of those cars IMHO!

Good question -- bad writing on my part since that is practically meaningless.
I have revised the post for clarity. I am willing to consider paying more than the 3500 - $5000 range for an exceptional example wtih good records.

I'm in SE WI. I'll keep an eye out in the WI and Chicago areas if let me know you're willing to travel that far. I do a CL search fairly often anyway and it wouldn't be hard to PM you if I see something.

E30's that spent most of their time in WI & IL are rust buckets...you should know that by now :D
That's why the OP should look for one south, or out west.
Good luck with the search.

I found my 90 325i in Virginia. It needed maint. updates and is a rust free car. The OP should look to the south, not up here in WI or IL.

Thanks to all of the suggestions and the offer of help.
I am open to travel and don't care where the car is as long as it is rust-free. Odds are that car will be located in the south or west, but anything can happen.
