Hey all new member/ e34 owner with some questions. Car is a 1992 525i/M50NV
First, My car is experiencing trouble starting after it's already warmed up..
Not sure what some probable causes for that would be. No trouble cold starting. For example it will start up, drive couple miles, shut her down and then have to crank for 20 seconds just to get her to fire up.
Second, I started experiencing a rod/engine knock like sound..
The only time I am noticing it is in 5th gear on the highway, anything above around 2k rpms. I know it's engine related because as soon as I hear it and back of the gas it goes away.
Basically I'm hoping people can throw some things out there that aren't as bad as I'm thinking.
Some other issues, possibly clues.
It has a oil pressure sensor warning and idle issues. When first started, even cold starts, it doesn't want to rev up to 1500 rpms and slowly drop down. It just starts and is at 800 or so and stumbling. It also stumbles and misses at idle half the time once warmed up.
