spectators are $10 each and limited by how many people the grandstands can hold (so for us basically no limit).

I posted this in the 335/135 forums to try and generate some interest. its working, got several confirmed already and just put downpipes and a UUC SSk/DSSr in a 335 this afternoon and talked him into it. :buttrock


Its 100/per car, starts at 9am track should be ready by 10am on Oct. 30th. Both lanes and they should be VHT prepped. Probably one lane for DR's/Slicks only.

well I can say that I finally popped my cherry at the strip today along with popping the car's cherry and driveshaft. I learned a few useful things and discovered that my street tires are so sticky that they made my r-comps are look like s- when it comes to the drag strip.

I had a terrible time hooking up with the tires and was spinning through 3rd gear every single time I ran the car....they just spun when I would floor the throttle. after about 15+ runs, I gave up and ran my street rubber. I ran my first run and bogged the car since I was figuring that they would slip like the r-comps...no dice. On my second run, my proper street launch ended up snapping my driveshaft and leaving me stranded in the lane. This is what I get for having great street rubber! :stickoutt

I already placed my spare driveshaft into the bed of my caddy and will get it replaced by Monday.

my only gripe is that I didn't run my street rubber earlier, they felt 100x better then the r-comps and would have certainly earned me phenomenal numbers.

I can't wait to see pics and video of today, it was a blast.

If he has another 150 - 200 hp the car would be unstoppable. I think Mike R can attest to how it hooks up. The suspension absorbs all impact and just squats and boogies. I love it - might want to dial in just a smidge more positive camber for the track but otherwise its awesome. Now we just need to convince jay to put a T4 on.

I dont know how determined you are in regards to the car but I honestly can see 9's out of it with the current setup!
Stiffen up the rear suspension a bit, bigger tire, more boost take out some unnecessary weight and hope the clutch can hold on!
The car is definitely capable 1.4-1.5 60' all day long! With a 1.5 60' the car is a low 10's car as is!
