MODS, Please let this stay here. I've posted in the for classifieds area with minimal results. A few people gave me the advice to post something here because the track car guys look for M3's with a factory sunroof delete nd most dont run headliners. Thankyou in advance!

Soo, what im looking for is a black headliner with NO sunroof cut out. This is for my E36 Coupe. I called BMW and they dont have it in black for some reason, only tan and gray. Its $300 brand new btw.

I know a lot of you guys like to build up the E36's that had the factory sunroof delete because its a lighter chassis to build into a race car. Also most of you have no interior so theres a few of you that have your headliner just sitting somewhere.

My problem is I cant start building my cage untill I have the headliner. Someone offered to fill the hole in and recover it but I dont really want to do that. If I come up empty handed I may give that a shot but that will be my LAST resort, Im anal and I want an OEM black headliner with no sun roof provision and im not going to buy one form the dealer and dye it. (someone already suggested that)

If you have one or know some one that has one please spread the word. Call me text me PM me or E-mail me...

Thankyou very much, Colby!

Good luck man. I found out that m3's non-sunroof is rare, even more rare is a black interior non-sunroof m3. You might be able to find one at some point in your LIFE out of a 328is or 325is but also fairly rare. I was in the same position looking for a black non-sunroof headliner and finally decided to just use my old headliner. You could get a new fabric laid on it or dye it.

If you don't want to buy a new one and dye it, I'd suggest recovering it. It will prove almost impossible to find one locally that is in good condition! Best of luck on the search

I agree. The headliner cannot be shipped safely so you would HAVE to find a local one. Getting a new one and recovering it is your best bet. And it's easier than you think it is.

You could buy the OEM tan one and use fabric dye (comes in an aerosol can) to stain it black. I've done this before for other parts, it comes out very well IMO.

I just re-read the OP. Why are you putting a headliner into a car that is getting a cage? I think you should re-think your entire plan.
