Upgrade my equipment, is this possible?

Hello Guys!

I have a few questions. I've just bought a 1996 BMW 528i and there is a few things that I wonder if possible to upgrade.

1: Got CD player in the car. Can I upgrade to Navigaton with monitor? Maybe it will be a mess to connect everything? (I have car where I can take everything from)

2: Can I upgrade to a instrument cluster with check control? Or maybe the car hasn't all the sensors / cables for check control??

3: If I buy front seats with seatheats, Can I use these or is there any special things that will make those work?

if you check out the forum search, the navigation has been discussed in-depth and there is a ton of great information about the retrofitting procedure.

I've also seen BMW-specified instructions on the high-OBC (cluster w/ check control) gauge cluster retrofit. HOWEVER, you will need to visit a BMW dealer or an independent shop with the ability to program your new cluster to match your chassis (VIN) number and mileage that is stored in your light control module.

Not to sound mean but come on man take a little initiative, afterall youre the one that wants to do all that stuff. Ive seen the same questions you asked already answered in more than one thread and Ive only been a member for 8 months and youve been here since 2008!

I gave them a little break compared to what I normally write because the location says Sweden, and it's likely that english is a 2nd langauge to them. Having english as a second language can make searching foriegn [to the OP] sites incredibly hard to search if you don't know the english name, forum-shorthand, or what have you.

I do agree but I think he speaks / types great. Unlike other threads where you know English is not their first language.
