Tips for installing trunk lip spoiler

Any tips on getting it lined up? Trying to install one on my e36.

Only one tip... have a second person help you. Have them hold it in place as you line it up and get it postioned properly.

BMW make a spoiler mounting kit that has 4 plastic plugs with adheasive backs to them. You just press the plug into each of the 4 screw holes, remove the tape backing and carefully line up the spoiler. Once it is lined up you press it into place, lift the spoiler back off and the plugs will stick to the trunk lid in the exact place that you need to drill the holes. You will need a scratch awl or ice pick to mark the location where the plugs are.

i think that previous reply was thinking of a regular (larger) spoiler, my lip spoiler came with double sided mounting tape.

if you are using that 3m tape make sure you clean your paint really really well :)

and yeah... i thought the same thing you did. i have betalink i'm gonna use for the lip spoiler (shit ain't gonna go anywhere once it's on ROFFLE)
