How do you go about updating the on board navigation on the 09 3 series? can you buy the dvd anywhere?

dealer. Is the 09 dvd based though or does it use a hard drive?

as far as i know the 09 is hard drive. does that make it harder or easier to update? i guess when i bring it in for service i can ask if there is a new update.

On that note, does BMW use the Navteq or TeleAtlas maps?
I think Navteq updates their maps more frequently, but I can`t recall the exact numbers.
