I stumbled across these 18" BMW rims off a 2000 740i (http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/pts/1373445880.html) and I read somewhere that e38 rims would fit my e34. The bolt pattern is obviously the same, but I know that 7 series are staggered so I don't know if this would mattern in terms of fitting my e34 or in terms of affecting correct mileage or whatnot. I don't know any more about these wheels than what is shown in the craigslist ad, which is why I'm asking you all since I am sort of a dummy when it comes to wheels/tires. I would love to upgrade to these bigger, nicer wheels but I'd just like to know if it'll work before I go ahead and get them.
Thanks.

I've seen the style on E34's before, yes. Just saw a listing with a 91 M5 with them. Don't know if they were staggered rims, but the tires looked wider in the rear. I can't see why they wouldn't fit, just get the right size tires to keep the speedo correct. TR has a calculator...just put in the car and rim size.
Oh, and you may need a skinny set of hub-centric rings, as the E38 has a 74.1 hub bore and you should have a 72.56. Don't forget these or you will have vibrations over 40 mph!
P.S. I lived in Wyoming, MI and worked for MidWest Bumper Co.
P.S.S. here's a new thread of a guy with them on his black E34: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1315348
