What the hell is "CHECK CONTROLE"?

"CHECK CONTROLE" keeps popping up on me dash!
Just what the hell is that?

Well my CCM was bad which is why it poped up every time I started the car and turned the car off.

Does your car have any codes? Inspection light on?

Check control keeps track of things like low coolant, burned out lights, low oil pressure, etc.

Not sure how you access what message it actually is displaying though. I know how to do it on an E36, and if I had to guess on an E34 it'd be by pushing the button on the right hand side of the cluster.

I think its a burnt out bulb

i had that issue once pop your hood look in the fuse panel i guarantee u have at least 1 popped fuse if not 2 replace them with key off and you're good to go

It will tell you if a bulb is burnt or not after the words CHECK CONTROL. If nothing else comes up your CCM is bad.
