It tends to happen under highway speeds, its pretty noticeable, as both my entire arm shakes when I press the brakes.....anyone know whats going on...I know my rotors arent warped.

Pad deposits? Old tires?

Actually, they may not be warped per se to notice it under city driving, but under highway speeds even a little unevenness translates into big vibration. It is time to get new rotors. I speak from experience.

i had the SAME problem on my M3. Normal city driving you couldn't feel it much...but on the freeway the slightest braking i could feel the start of vibration. i had "The Green Stuff" on for 2 months and didn't think that could be the problem. Every one told me that it was probably the brake deposits transfering to the rotors.

wellllll...i did some hard braking and light braking to get rid of the deposits and the vibration kept a constant irritation. i ended up replacing the rotors with brembo oem rotors...$50 from bimmerparts.com...and now NO MORE VIBRATION!

Hm...but its not constant though, it doesnt always vibrate while on the highway braking, its more on and off, like earlier today it didnt vibrate....:dunno

I still think it's rotors.. that or possible suspsneion wear. Still, these cars are just ultra sensitive to rotor runout

well the rotors are less than a few months old...could tie rods have anything to do with it? My mechanic said one of em is about to go....or would the tie rods affect something else...?

get your wheels balanced.

Are your wheels aligned? balanced? check tire pressure.
