Where does the thin hose from the coolant overflow tank near the fire wall go?

Mine just hangs down near the engine block, connected to nothing. This obviously can not be correct. I tried to eye ball a few engine pics of other BF members and it looks like the hose goes toward the passenger side of the engine compartment, along the fire wall, towards the black plastic cover for the ECU.

The Bentley does not show where the hose goes. Just a lot of pictures of the M20 set up. :rolleyes My engine is the M30.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe it's an overflow tube.

Maybe it's an overflow tube.

Yes, that is definitely what is it.

So according to the photo, it is part #10. But where does it go? Mine is connected to the overflow resevoir, but the tube just hands down near the engine block. I have heat so it is not connected to a heater core, plus the hose line is too thin for that.

It's to allow any extra coolant to be vented overboard if you put in too much and it expands.

Thanks bro. Well instead of the tube handing over my engine block, I'm going to rope if off someplace else. No one likes the smell of coolant burning.
