I installed my raceland coilovers yesterday and when I put the car on the ground (it was as low as it could go), the front wheels were touching the coilover housings. After I raised the car to the height I wanted, there was enough clearance to drive without rubbing, but still not much (maybe 2 mm). Now after the suspension has settled a little bit, the right front is rubbing at low speeds. I'm assuming that if I raise it back up to where I want it the problem will go away. My question is, is that suppossed to happen? Thanks.

Oddly enough, the problem went away entirely today. Spacers are in the mail though.

Yeah i just finished installing mine and i have the same problem. The wheels from the E36 barely clear maybe 1mm and i have wheels from an e46 325 and they rub even more. What size spacers did you order? 5mm 12mm. Also at what point do you need to get longer lug bolts?
Thanks

Try taking the helper springs out, if that's whats rubbing.

Good idea, I'll look into that.
I ordered 20 for the rear and 10 for the front. Longer bolts can be purchased from TMS.
I really like them so far. Stiffer than stock but not harsh. I made a thread in R&S with a few pictures.

92 suspension geometry is different. I don't know.

Of my rubbing or of the car? There are a few pictures in the thread that the "Raceland Coilovers" link in my signature links to.

Maybe they did some "self clearancing."

I had one of my wheels off today to look at my brakes and I have nice rubber rub mark on the helper spring. Oh well.

+1, that's a good idea.
I just installed mine and probably have 1-2 mm between the tire and helper spring. If I slide a credit card in that space it'll go through with no resistance, but still touch both the spring and the tire. I might try a pep boys 3mm wheel spacer, and if it solves my problem keep it on temporarily until I order an h&r one.
