Hmmm, doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. It's amazing the amount of people that refuse to look up any instructions until after they break something.

That's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back, what a useless post.

And Gunner, you can do it yourself. ;)

This would take so long to implement plus how do you look up bulletins and the such. Plus that shit would have a battery pack the size of a back pack to update and stay on all day.

But it proves that any monkey can be a "technician" No offense as If I had the time to do it I would, but Time is money and that is why you are paid.

Just like any monkey can be a pilot. The only reason we have pilots on commercial planes is for an emergency if the computer fails. The computer Takes off, flies, and lands without the touch of a "pilot" and Yes, I am a pilot so, There!

I remember those stupid Oakley's, they where $500+ and had less than 32mb of storage.

Interesting concept, gotta admit...

save the trees! allow those with reading difficulties to be techs as well!

I can read fine with my glasses on, read many tech manuals as well.

maybe even the flat rate shop prices could drop with such a device in the future?

I think it's a very intuitive idea, Robert

I say - one pair of glasses for each make and model vehicle - lol.

Hmm... Or, just one database to re-program the glasses, based on the job. Or, maybe a super idea for just training, and only use the glasses for training.

Neat stuff, Robert

The tech would need to wear a backpack that is a computer, battery, and had wifi. Think of how annoying it would be to have a backpack on while working on a car.

I looks cool in concept but the reality is it just isn't plausible.

agreed; not plausible or useful in reality
