Some may work, many probably won't. However, I felt I should mention that we had a customer come in today with this key:

they bought it off ebay and brought it to us to have it initialized after they had a locksmith cut it.

A) The key will only open the doors...and when you put it in the ignition it turns the accessories on but won't start the car

B) There are no electronics in the key...it's empty, so it won't initialize...therefore the buttons don't work and of course it won't start the car.

So anyway, I know there are alot of discussions about whether you can or cannot buy a key off ebay and have it work...in this case you can't.

How do we know the seller didn't put in the description that it doesn't come with a chip? A lot of people buy them with the intent of swapping in their old chip. The buyer may have just been ignorant.
