So my friend dropped off a 6 disc factory Honda CD changer for my next DD, a 94 Accord. On the case itself showed a sticker and the way the anti-shock mechanism is to be for either horizontal or vertical installation. That's when I realized that the BMW CD changer in my Touring has the same adjustment as well.
I noticed that the CDs would just skip every time I drove over a bump, but I figured it was because I had mounted the BMW Changer vertically. I checked out the changer, and there it was: 4 tiny screws "locking" in the adjustment, which had been set for horizontal mounting. I changed it and now am waiting to see if the skipping stops.
Thought I'd share this with other fellow Touring members with a CD changer. :redspot
