oil light while ideling

Hi,

I have a 97 328is 5 speed, and recently the oil light started coming on when the car is ideling. When I am driving and shifting it does not come on just when sitting at lights. Any ideas?

Change to higher oil grade. You should try 10-40W.

PS: What kind of oil are you using? What oil grade?

Checked your oil level lately? Could also be a sensor going.

Hope you are not driving around if its giving you pressure light at idle..
