ps - i tried the search function but it appears broken.

problem: passenger side window does nothing. no inch up/down when opening door. not responsive to the switch. no sound when moving switch. nothing.

other problem... drivers side window auto-down works but auto-up stops several times along the way, have to hold button for it to go up.

i know the fixes have been discussed...can anyone tell me what to do? thanks!

Drivers door is the motor or the plastic sliders. Try a new switch on the other door. If thats not it then its probably the motor.

a dead switch would cause it to go completely INOP?

ill swap switches and report back.

Yes a bad switch will do that. Its just like a light switch.

bad switches can be fun! I had my passengerside window roll down on it's own in the middle of a rainstorm in winter because the switch decides to short out.

swapped with the known good switch from drivers side, no change, but i did find the switch on the pass side is bad anyway.

so now that i know its not the switch, whats the next test?

Remove the motor with the connectors on and see if it will move forward and reverse.
