Trying to diagnose some codes. I found that when I removed my dipstick nothing at all changes, I can just hear oil gurgling a little.

When I pull the oil filler cap the idle doesnt really change at all, actually gets a little better for a short period of time. I was thinking I had a vacuum leak somewhere, but after replacing all intake gaskets and vacuum hoses, and hose inspections I am not sure. CCV is new.

Try cleaning ICV.

with car idling, spray starter fluid or throttle plate cleaner in suspected intake leak areas. if the idle changes then you found your leak. even with new gaskets, i found some more leaks with this trick before. It was intake runner #1 gasket for me. Use some gasket maker if you can.

is the car obd1 or 2? just pull or get the codes pulled.

get a bently manual to diagnose anything on your car.

Thanks guys. ICV is new and clean. I have sprayed everywhere. I get codes 1215, 1222, 1223, 1224, and 1226. This is after replacing my engine using all the same sensors that were on my old engine.

I REALLY wanted to know what this means when I pull the cap and it doesnt idle down, does it mean its already leaking?

Possibly a bad crank-case vent valve (CCV).

truthfully I had my CCV woes a couple months ago, I went through 2 BMW ones in 2 weeks. Needless to say that it is new. I removed my ProFormance chip and all seems to be well right now.
