I purchased a 2006 CPO 330xi. The car has the logic7 sound system. How do I tell if it also has satellite radio prep?

All Cars are prewired for sat radio but if it is not visible as an icon in your medIa menu on your head unit then you don't have it. You can install one but it is very exspensive. Just do a search for details.

Yes, AFAIK they didn't change that.

Mryakan, I went to the BMW dealer today and they told me my car is NOT prewired for satellite radio. That is an optional feature so they cannot install factory satellite into my car.

This guy apparently did it anyway. Check it out. Anyone seen this, any thoughts out there about it?

Interesting, that is contrary to what others have been told or maybe I misuntderstood. Maybe you should get a second opinion.

I viewed the info on the link Omlet provided. Thanks. Even though my car does not have the satellite radio prep, it looks to me like I can still install the factory satellite receiver and control it from the stock head unit but that I need to do some cabling and to also add an esternal antenna. Am I correct on this?
