Bought my first BMW 325i and love it :). I've been driving it for a while and figured out it needs some work. First off its got a couple scratches in it so if there's some DIY remedy please let me know. Second the owners who had it before me hit a deer so i need a new bumper the one on it now kinda hangs so any suggestions on how to install a new bumper let me know (I also need some new fog lights). Third and the biggest of all the transmission slips a lil in first gear. Its an auto so some help with that would be great. Ill post pics later.

ps. i already loaded it with audio upgrades (should of done the other fixes first haha)

Hit a deer, damn haha thats hilarious. Hopefully you can just buy a new bumper cover to remedy. Make sure your tranny is full of fluid, sometimes that can cause a slip; HOPEFULLY that will fix that.

Oh yeah and welcome to the forums!!

Not hilarious. Scary as shit, especially at night.

To the OP, check to make sure that nothing is damaged behind the bumper. If it was a hard hit, you could have some serious problems hiding back there. As far as the tranny goes...good luck. Like M52 Nick said, make sure it's full and you may even want to service it (change fluids, filter, etc.)

Good luck!

Haha yeah i know i already had to replace my left turn signal but besides that thanks for the welcome. Ive taken a look behind my bumper and a guess the right side of the reinforcement (when your looking at the front of the car) is pushed in a little bit. . . i don't think theres much more damage other than that. About the new bumper cover were would the cheapest place be to order one?

Yeah there are deer here too & I agree it is scary, i used to live in a SMALL town and deer were always in the road. If just sounds funny to say you just bought a car that hit a deer.

i also just purchased a 325, its my first bmw and first car (always owned trucks previously).
thinking i can kill 2 birds here and get some answers for us both if thats cool. just wondering where to start with upgrades, i know that leaves alot open, but some small stuff not too pricey to kind of kick things off. found chips online for ~250 or so. but i have no idea whats what with bmw's or where to shop for stuff.

sorry man for that kind of money i will throw it on one of my track e36. i was saving it for someone else who needs it cause it is brand new..

that is not like junk stuff. it is original from dealer.

anyway to mount it on your car that will be easy. if the support underneath the bumper cover is bent or broken you need to buy one. ii have one and i can sell it to you for $20 plus shipping.. the bumper cover will mount on that piece with those plastic mounts. so easy to put on..

Check out my thread here (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1295115), should get you on the right track.

OP: You say that one of the supports is pushed in a bit? Is it the one like in the picture below, to the right of the intercooler?

If I remember correctly those are impact absorbers for crashes under 30mph, in order for the bumper to sit correctly you'll need to replace both. I know they bolt on to the frame but I have yet to have to deal with them myself. Maybe someone else can chime in?

That's a pic I pulled off google, I wish that was mine, lol.
