Don't know a way...but my suggestion would be to get to the nearest BMW dealership and order a new key. You will need to provide some type of identification that verifies that you're the owner.
Other than that...I really feel bad for you...because you do know that your circumstances sound very dubious...plus this being your very FIRST post...no one really knows who you are...and your first question is asking for help that sounds much like what a thief would want to know. :nono I don't mean to be offensive...but there's so many unanswered questions as to why you would even be in this circumstance...and then you come to a place where you are totally unknown...but your asking a question as to how to get around a security feature. :dunno
Why do you only have one set of keys? Where did you lose your key? Why would you need to "start" your car but you have no key to unlock the steering column?
Again, you can solve a big part of the problem by purchasing another key. You'll need one anyway so that you don't wind up in this same perdicament in the future.
Good luck. :)
PS: even if I did or others knew a way...by posting a way to by-pass EWS in an open forum like this makes all of our cars immediately less secure and vulnerable to theft. Because now...anyone with bad intentions would only need to google this info and find a way to steal our cars. Now why would we want to do that? :shifty :nono :shifty

Not knowing your car's build date...I assumed a build date of 1/95-up and that you live in Cheshire UK (Euro side of part database)...here's a direct link to an online part database that inidcates the keys for a 1995 730i...only the keys that show up in the part nbr index BELOW the diagram are keys that can be used on your car...if your car was built BEFORE 1/1995...then click the link to start over so that you can enter the correct info for your car an get the proper diagram & part nbr index. Click this link for Euro$ pricing of the keys in the diagram below: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E38/Sedan/Europe/730i-M60/RHD/A/1995/january/browse/bodywork/key_with_battery_up_to_09_99/
I assume that if your car uses the IR (infrared) keys you can use: #1, #2, #3, & #9
If your car uses the RF (radio frequency) keys you can use: #9, #10, #11, & #14

FYI: If your car is RHD (right hand drive) the components may be in a slightly different location.
Disconnecting the EWS control module alone won't solve your problem. The EWS control module is part of a system that communicates with the key, the ECU/DME, the EWS transmitter/receiver (in your model), and the ring antenna. They all have an ISN (individual serial number) and that ISN must be identified by all of these components to release the starter, ignition, and fuel.
