6-Disc CD Changer Problems

Hey guys, I have the OEM 6-disc changer and yesterday when I was driving around it only played one of the discs and the first 2 tracks, the others read as no disc, now it won't even play that disc, any ideas on how to fix this?? I tried searching for this problem but got no real answer...

This happens to me every few months. I just pull the cassette (not sure if I am using the right word) and re-insert it. I saw another thread where the problem was solved by replacing the cassette. Check any place that sells car CD changers.

I had it happen, and found I had a CD stuck in it.

Crap, tried cleaning and nothing happened, still reads as no disc on all of them now...

i only need the cd holder (cassette? thing) not a whole new changer

I found the problem, my car really doesn't want to play CDRs apparently...anyone have any tips? Obviously I can listen to regular discs instead, but I'm wondering if there are some kinds of rewriteable discs the player wouldn't have a problem with?

CD-Rs recorded in CDA format should play fine. Is that how you're doing it? It's not going to recognize MP-3 format. . . I've had problems with CD+Rs for some reason.

yea its in the CDA format I think it might be the discs, idk
