Well, I hope you have some time on your hands since there was a grand total of two 1989 M6's sold in North America. One of them (white and über pristine) belongs to a Torontonian named, IIRC, Steve and he had it permanently for sale some years back at CAD 60K or thereabouts ! He took some ribbing for that price but always stood his ground that eventually (decades ??) it would command that kind of price.

Taylor,

I continue to enjoy your posts. You have the proverbial "way with words."

That still leaved 50% of them Taylor, potentially on the open market...or go Euro?

I saw this '85 cinnabar red yesterday...for a mere $25.5k

At that rate, one could buy 2 like mine and have change enough to take a vacation in style in CA.

Nice car. Only 367 numberes later than mine. Same color, same mileage. I'd be willing to let mine go for 25k.

Is it me Layne, or doesn't the Red look a bit over buffed and sun damaged...?
IIRC, the red was deeper when the paint was fresher?
Is there a pic of your ride on here we can view?

I like Red and of course it depends on the body style.
Something more along the lines of Guard's (Porsche) is my taste...
even SAAB's Chile Red Metallic looks good to me on this wagon...

The car looks right to me, but those are some pretty bad pictures. I think red is really hard to photograph properly, pictures of my car sometimes range from brick red to orange. That saab looks great, but it is much darker than cinnabar red.

I almost bought that very SAAB but decided that might be Sorry And Awful Boring...?

The red wagon above is an '07 (first year of the redesign and the last for the Chili Red)
Saab only makes 100 wagons a year in Red (for advertisement purposes, generally)...

IMHO the 93 does look good in that red (not laser red from '08 and on) Surprisingly white is the rarest of all Saab colors.
About 50 a year in the wagon ... i guess because it goes against the Swede's 'find your car in 5 feet of snow theory' ?
The cockpit is nice and the auto transmission is as the newer Steptronic (read GM) only steeper on the gearing and tighter on the manual shifting.

I really like the practicality of having a wagon AND the sixer...but my last BMW wagon was pitifully lacking in some hidden areas so I turned it in...

Yours is a great looker Layne, and that second photo (by the RR crossing) a perfect Texas shot IMHO...
Your car might also look even more red with some brushed aluminum Alpina's
(ala the "what do I do with this POS thread from yesterday)

Cheers!

I saw a Saab wagon the other day I liked, it was sort of a froggy green color. Something looks different about the red one, maybe they've changed the grille. I think this one was brand new.

Actually I have some gold style 5 wheels I'm planning to put on. I think the gold will have a nice effect on the red. Black wheels are not my style, but I get tons of compliments on those. It really surprised me.
Ha! Yeah I guess that was a very "Texas" place, here's a shot in the other direction showing the farms and an oil pump jack. The Brazos river is less than a mile in that direction.

Yeah that's the view...!

The 08 Saab's lost the beltline accent trim all around and the bumpers are a bit different.
It really makes them look better, but it's hell at the supermarket it bet (carts banging)

Thanks for the photos!

The red M635 was featured in Bimmer Magazine a few years ago. I can scan it if someone wants to host, or explain to me how to post it.
