Hey Guys,

I've done some poking around on the forums and I could use a little more information. I know there were a ton of exhaust options for my 540i (Dinan, Remus, Supersprint, Eisenmann, Magnaflow, etc) but I don't see as many for the 740i.

My question is, what all is out there for the E38's? I see a lot of Eisenmann and Magnaflow, but I was hoping for something in between price/sound wise.

Has anyone every taken two 540i aftermarket mufflers, or an M5 aftermarket setup and adapted it to an E38? Just curious! Thanks in advance for any help!

Since the car is a touring / sport vehicle why would you want to throw away an expensive stainless steel setup?

Try Remus - 750-900.00 depending on sales - Got mine for 770.00 back in '03 from BavAuto.

I was going to do the bumper cutout and just add some nice polished stainless tips and gut half the muffler, i know theres a write-up on E38.org for this

This is a great option for a sportier sound if you have some welding and fabrication skills!

Muffler delete, Weld tips and cut out, No idle noise, No CEL, Sound is amazing on accel.
Cost under $200.

Does not sound Like an American car
Does not sound Ricey
Sounds like a 7 with balls!!

I, too, have deleted the mufflers and am running a pair of 4" tips cut into the bumper.
