started my car today morning - engine light ON and DSC light ON

run and check the error code :

P1632Throttle Valve Adaptation; Adaptation Condition Not Met

After 5 min started it again but all gone away
Checked again error code and nothing ... so far no issues ...

What it can be ??

Maybe a stuck butterfly valve on the throttle body (carbon build up, easy to clean) or perhaps the electrical connection to the throttle body needs to be cleaned (also easy).

It doesn't sound like you tried to drive the car when the CEL came one. You may want to try accelerating a little next time if it happens again. If you get hesitation, refer to above.

If it went away I wouldnt worry about it too much until it comes back. No use worrying and throwing money at a problem you dont have any symptoms of yet.

I've had thermal problems with my 2003 530 TB, sucker doesn't like to idle longer than 5 minutes. Either the butter fly would hang up or something in the sealed module would act up from excessive heat. I just replaced mine with a VDO I got from RockAuto for $180, de-ox'd the plug and seems good so far. By the way, replacing only took about 30 minutes not too bad of a job. I'll open the old TB up to see how she looks inside, probably use 3M window weld to seal it up along with some stainless safety wire.

Well, you probably did not have to replace the throttle body, just clean it.. TB's rarely go bad.

TB maintenance (on the V8):
-- disconnect its electric plug, unscrew (4x10mm screws) to remove it from the car,
-- clean it thorough with carb or maf cleaner. Clean all sides in and out, front and back of the plates until TB is silver shiny. Let it dry
-- Reinstall it, replace its gasket.

Reset the adaptations (engine off, key to position 2, wait 31 seconds, remove key). before restarting the engine.

Hey Igor!

Still driving my 540i bought 18yrs ago. Last overhaul on Suspension and Cooling done 10 yrs ago.

With average 700 miles per yr now, nothing but yearly oil changes, bi yearly brake fluid flushes and 3 yr coolant drains needed since then. Alot less maintenance needed these days.

But even with that, planning to move on to MB AMGs soon enough.
