I have read most of the LCM and ignition switch threads. Several times, after driving in the rain, my turn signals, low beams, angel eyes, and reverse lights have not worked. This problem usually corrects itself, but this last time my battery went dead and I have had to jump it to drive anywhere. Is a dead battery (draining battery) consistent with a failing LCM, or should I start to look for a drain. The car is a 97 540 that has hella xenon lights that have been on the car since I bought it, I have no knowledge of how they were retrofitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have relied on this forum for help many times and have gotten very valuable advice in the past that has save me a lot of money. Thanks guys.
I took out the, "light module" fuses (16,41) that were located in my glove box to trouble shoot a drain to my battery but all of the exterior lights are still operational with the fuses out? Does this make any sense?
