As the subject says, I would like to use my Angle-eyes as the DRL's instead of the standard Halogens? Possible?

I though some people did that and posted how it can be done. Not sure if it was for post MY06 models though.
Did you trying searching for similar posts? I know this can be hard to find, but doesn't hurt to try.

I think it is different for the sedans.

They changed it in the 2009 sedans. Until then, you are stuck with the regular light.

It's nothing that is worth loosing sleep on since you are not looking at the front of your car when you are driving anyway.

You cannot on a Canadian car, they do not allow you to turn off the halogen DRLs without doing some wiring to disable them. Our kits will run in conjunction with the halogen DRLs but you cannot turn off the DRLs on Canadian cars because of the DRL law.

Not wanting to turn off the DRLs completely, just want to run the Angle-eye's as DRL's...

I think he may be saying that if you can turn on the angel eyes, the regular bulbs for the DRLs will still be running, which is probably correct since I think I saw that at the dealer with the 09s. I could be wrong though.

Our angel eye kits come with a wiring harness that fades them on when you unlock the car, powers them whenever the car is on (as DRLs or with the headlights on) and fades them off when you lock the car. Just remember that your current halogen DRLs will be on in conjunction with these angel eyes.

Perhaps a 2009 LKM would do it? My '09 335d uses its angel eyes as DRLs.

Tried to follow the manual instructions, but no dice....not possible and not worth the hassle in my mind to figure it out either since I got a cracked windshield from my drive out to Killaloe yesterday....grrr....

I read a lot of forums trying to do this. My conclusion: not possible in '06 to '08 sedans.

The DRL instructions within the menu system is not available as described on Canadian models....oh well, and not worth the money in my opinion to figure out how to change it. I just thought it would look cool, that is all.

You can enable the angel eyes with the DRLs, you need the harness I pointed to in my post above. It is not a factory available option, you need the harness to enable it.
