View Full Version : E34 My M5....

is officially For Sale.
With the heaviest of hearts I've decided I can't keep both the M5 and the 993.
Please visit the website I dedicated to the car and its history. Everything you need to know is there.
It is in Turn-key condition, and if I do say so myself, its an extraordinary car to drive and behold.
Very few e34 M5's in the USA in this condition for the money and with this pedigree and ownership. All owners were 40+ at the time of ownership, so its never been abused or neglected. All owners were BMWCCA members as well.
Thanks.

Good luck with the sale Mike, hope you got into that 911 you wanted, whoever ends up with your car will be a VERY happy camper.

Sorry to see this Mike...thought you had decided to keep it!
If I hadn't already bought an M5, I would have probably flown to NY to look at yours.

Thanks guys. Appreciate all the kind words, especially Ben who's actually seen the car.
I tried to keep it, but I've got some things on the horizon that need to take priority.
I'll be hanging around the board though, as I'm sure I'll be back in an M car sooner than later.
1 toy at a time is going to have to do for now.

Unless you can drive more than one toy at a time, it's the right choice.

Why ?
I want to sell it, but I'm not in the biggest rush either....at least not until 9/8 when I need to pay the last install on the 993.

Mike...
I swear, you must have automotive A.D.D. You change cars more than I do. Good thing I don't still have the money from the //S4 sale, or I might be in trouble ;). You bringing the 993 to //S-Fest on the 29th?

Hey Steve-
No Fest for me this year. I'm heading back to LA on the 23rd to help my mother thru her chemo & re-hab sessions. I won't be back until about the 6th of September. I'm rotating w/ my brothers every 12 days until she's well enough to go back home to New Jersey.
There are too many great cars I want to own. It never made sense for me to keep one for more than 2 yrs. I've loved all 20+ cars I've had since 1980 with my 914-6 being the longest lasting ( 4 yrs ). That one I should have kept :(
I hope things go well at SF.

One of the best maintained M5 I have worked on. Well other than daves and mine ;) it should be a easy quick sale.. I am contiplating selling mine, its maybe been driven 400 miles this year and sits under a car cover 10months out of the 12months.

Are you serious about selling your Euro 3.8 ? Man, that'll be next to impossible to replace.
We'll talk soon . Hope all is well.

I just got great news late last night that she got approved as a UCLA patient. They're one of the best in the country for brain trauma care.

Domo Arrigato Steve-O !
I had the car detailed yesterday and it makes me ill thinking that I might not have it in my garage anymore.
Certainly one of the best examples in the country, best of luck.
I don't know about that, but thanks anyways !

One thing that surprised me how good the wheels look on that car. Great choice.. On my M5 I will be putting in a freshly resurfaced 91 M5 flywheel and a new clutch, can't stand the flywheel chatter. Its horrible with the 6 speed tranny. Also I need to get the extra edc II euro struts I have rebuilt and put in.. No need for it but preventive maintenance. Just like mike I like too replace things before they have a chance too break. I have two other cars a 1993 300ce mercedes and a 318ti with a S50. I drove them both as DD's even tho the TI is almost 100 percent track preped and not street legal. Then time for truck/trailer.

I've always wanted a red M5. Let me know if you do decide to put it up.
