View Full Version : Tilt wheel problem

Just yesterday the tilt control on my steering wheel stopped working. The telescoping control works but I can't move the steering wheel up or down. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!! FYI its a 1998 528i.

Sounds like you may need a new motor. I would search power steering issues and see what comes up. Good luck!

Check your seat control switches? They are part of the same circuit.

any other odd things happening? Try opening your passenger side visor and then the mirror so the lights come on while the radio is on. Any thing happen? does the Cruise control work?


Check your seat control switches? They are part of the same circuit.


Im not sure that they are, I thought they were on two different feeds. Why do you think they are on the same circuit?
