View Full Version : Pic Request: 19's on an E36
The SOB seller on eBay is not following through with the auction I won, so I'm lookin' for another set of wheels.
I've been considering 19's on my E36 M3. Is there any issues of rubbing, etc if I go with a 235/35/19 tire on a Et 43 offset 19x8.5" ACS Type II or Type III rim?
Also, I'd like to see what 19's on an E36 look like. They don't have to be ACS rims. Any rims.
Thanks.

I have 225/35/19's on my M3, rims are 19x8.5" et. 38, and I have no rubbing issues. 235's will fit fine, and 245's should too. Sorry, I can't take pics for another couple of weeks atleast. Putting a body kit on.

i have ACS type 2 18x8.5 rims on my car, and it rubs in the front if i turn my wheel fully to either direction and my tire sizes are 235/40/18 up front, in the rear it has some rubbing from probably bumps and stuff and i have 245/40/18 in the rear.

Big Lun - Your car is slammed man. I know they'd look hot but you're probably going to have to do some major fender rolling to fit 19's.

I think 18's are plenty big enough, any more is not necessary. But that is me, im not very Bling.
Obviously I'll have to raise the car up a bit if I go with 19's. But it won't look any higher if I do since the 19's will fill up the wheel wells much more than the 17's or even 18's.
If there is serious fender rolling/cutting involved with 19's then I'll just go with 18's. However, 19's on a lowered E36 is not that uncommon. I found a thread on DTM Power that has alot of pics. Here it is:

BTW, I've tried to search for 19's but there's no way to do it easily cuz of the minimum 3 letter limit. I hate that restriction.

Same problem here on the driver side wheel with 225/40.

19x8, 235s all around. No rubbing at all.

235/35/19 tires? Did you have to roll/cut your fenders?
