oh, first off i have a 95, so it's OBD1 of that matters
So while looking at my foglights/head lights, I found a couple connector/sensor that I don't know where they go. Any info would be greatley appreciated:
first:
This was hanging down by my fogs/brake duct (drivers side). I think it should possibly be attached to the brake duct? I saw the passegers side had a sensor going to it, but it looked different. I tried following the wiring a little but couldn't easily figure it out.

second:
This was on my passenger side, hanging a little back closer to engine. It's wiring leads into the same wiring that the fog, high beam, and low beam are(see pic 2). I would assume it's a lighting component, but idk. The only other thing i could think of is that the drivers side has a similar connector going to the coolant drying container? the aluminum can thingy (idk what it is exactly, looked it up on realoem as best as i could).

Alum can thingy is the AC dryer.
Yellow sensor is the ext temp and fits in driver's side duct. Look for it.
2nd connector is either for a fog or alarm as far as I can tell.

ahh..no wonder my OBC was reading 120 occasionally when it's been around 70 out...lol. Thank you! I'll try looking into the other one a bit more - I know(think) it's not to the fog, I just pulled that one out today.

Ditto - Yellow thing is the temp sensor - plugs into the brake ducting on whatever side that connector is on.
The grey connector TOTALLY looks like the foglight connector...

that's what i thought too! but it's not. I have an identical white connector that was attached to the fog light. :eyecrazy

Gray, passenger side= alarm siren. Round sensor on passenger side= sensor for heated washers and nozzles. Yellow as stated is for the obc. Both sensors fit into the brake ducts, which you don't have.
(personal opinion here.. another M3 on the way to becoming a pos.)

wth?
i have brake ducts, the sensor is already back in. And why do you think my M is becoming a p.o.s.? I bought it and it needed some work and TLC, and that's what Ive doing to it as best as i can.
I know you're very intelligent in BMW's, but it kind of hurts to hear you think I'm shitty/can't keep up my cars. I just lost a lot of respect for you, see how you obviously have no respect for me - I know I'm just ' a dumb college kid' but I've been around cars my entire life and rebuilt engines with my dad sense I was 8 - I love cars and hate to see them degrade. I really do my best to upkeep my cars and that's exactly why I posted this tread to begin with.

Sorry, my bad. It's just I've seen too many lately. All on the way down the slippery slope... Where stance, poke and strech, and tuck matter more than if it turns, stops, or goes...

You'll find that there are people here who are simply assholes, despite being knowledgeble. God forbid you don't already know what they do.:rolleyes They troll for help/information needed threads and instead of simply providing the information requested, these self-proclaimed know-it-alls feel the need to say something condescending.
These negative people are probably unemployed or retired and have nothing better to do. Just put them on your ignore list.

Introspection. Try it. Hopefully it'll lead to change.
PS: It works whether you have a few posts or a few hundred.
