I can't decide if I like it or not.I'm so used the E 39. The pictured car is obviously pre-production. But heck, I bet the thing goes like stink. Anyone want to buy a real nice Dinan E34 M5?

The new 5 series look weird to me. But then again, the Acura RSX looked weird to me too. These things take a while to get used to. The styling is definitely unique.

I dunno, Peugeot rear, US Accord front. . . Everyone's saying "they look better in person". I saw one in Paris last week, and that did not change my impression. But it will probably grow on me eventually.

I REALLY don't like the looks of the new 5. I'm taking really good care of my E39 because the new 5 will be around for at least 5, if not 7 years before a replacement, and I have given up on buying new cars. I always buy, not lease. Let someone else take the first couple years depreciation. So I'll have this car for a while.

there so nice in person, there was a guy at the sheraton in Poland that was allways there with a 406 coupe.

But your defenatlly right: peugeot rear.

hmm this is the firast time i have seen the new m5. it looks a lot more agressive than the other 5 serises. they should make them all more agressive. I really dont like how everyhting is curved, but i wanna see the ebast under that hood. Strangely the fron end seems extremely short for a supposedly v10. Hmm maybe it is a decoy car

It's too bad that the photographer didn't shoot and or post a couple of Head-On Shots as wel as a couple of shots "Through the Window" to get a glimpse of the M-Seats or Steering Wheel.

I think ... the E60-M5 ... In the right color ... with the right mods ... Will look pretty awesome and very aggressive!

Hey, I didn't say I don't like Peugeots, but BMW stood out with its originality in design for the last 25 years, so why start taking cues from someone now?

I'm gonna take a different direction than some of the people here regarding the new M5. I have to admit, I actually like it, and it's growing on me a lot. It's the same experience I had when the E46 first debuted a few years back. At first, I did not like it at all, but a few months later, it suddenly grew on me and now I am in love with the E46's. Only time will tell if this M5 will become one of my favorite BMW's. One thing for sure is that this M5 will be lighter than the E39 and will enter supercar territory IMHO. As much as I hate Bangle for ruining the Z4, the God-awful 6er, and the 7er, I think this is the only design he has actually done right. But I seriously doubt this design alone will reduce the amount of hatred we all share towards Bangle :laugh:
