Well, I'm an idiot. This morning I over tightened the alternator pulley and the long screw broke apart the shaft it screws into on the oil filter housing. It seems fine to drive for now, but I thought I'd see if someone out there is parting out a Z3 and would want to sell this.
Thanks,
Brian Carlson

See if it's the same part as the S52 engine. I have one.
EDIT: I looked, it's not the same.

Hey, you got an oil filter housing for an S52 motor?
Wonder if I can retrofit.
How much you want?

An S52 oil filter housing will fit an M54.
u will just need a different oil filter. just remember to get a s52 oil filter instead of an M54.
My question to the op is how the fuck did he manage to crack that housing?
buy ur self a torque wrench because u defiantly will do some more damage in the future without out knowing what u did to that housing.

You don't need it tight. Just a little snug. Hand tight with those gripper gloves is more than good.
I have boxes of the other oil filters, so I would rather have only one oil filter around for the Z and the coupe. I have been buying the ones for the 2.8 one at a time.

The S52 oil caps are cheap though. I have two or three of them. I couldn't get the cosmoline off mine, so I just got a new one and polished that one.
