Bimmerfest in my garage (pictures)! It's funny how we park our BMWs

....Next to other BMWs down the far end of the lot!

So last night I was reading a thread on E46fan about BMW drivers parking up next to each other and/or down the far end of the lot not really aware of what we are doing most of the time.

Today I go into work park my car in the fairly empty garage lot and as I'm walking off I give the necessary look back check and realized what I just did and I snapped a picture with my phone for the E46fan forums.

Now this afternoon I'm heading out to lunch and this is what I find when I return to my car...a mini Bimmerfest in my garage!

Also in Westchester County, New York the are entire townships that are so rich that all you see in Metro North train station park and ride lots are BMWs and Mercs so I never really have a choice on certain days but to park next to a BMW.

This is like the lot by my house on any given day of the week.

This is true. I emerged from a restaurant one night to find several bimmers parked around my old junker. I was waaaaay out in the lot.

I do it too. I think it's so I can get out and easily look at the console of the other car. I'm actually quite happy when i see the shifter instead of the selector. Strange...

oh you mean parking structure..... thats right your from NY, so is my GF, and you both think a parking structure is a garage :nono

At the train station where I used to park there were always 3 E46 325i verts of the exact same color/rims/etc every day. They were usually close to or next to each other.

I came out of the store today and found a 540 parked behind my Ti. We were both way out in the lot too.

it seems to happen more with my saab. It's like swedish cars have a magnetic attraction to each other.

I used to park backwards in my area. But that was until I found out that parking backwards was looked down upon. Mainly because bank robbers park their car backwards to make a quick get a way. :(

I try to park next to other BMW owners, but I guess most are thinking I'm a poser with a stock E90 325i non zsp. :(

Usually when I get out of the gym I see a couple of modded BMWs parked next to me.

When I'm in the S2000 the same thing happens, other S2000 just park around lol.

its funny that you park at the end of a parking garage like me..

i took out my m3 for the first time in a long time (shes my garage queen)
and went to the mall 3 miles away.. i parked in the parking garage alllll the way at the end where the closest car to me was 5 spaces away:D

Its like we are seagulls, you park one bimmer then after five minutes there is 40 of us.
