m3 contours oem without m sticker ??

hi guys i posted this in the wheels section as well but i got no response so i figured maybe someone might shine some light upon this here , i recently saw an add in my area for m3 contours , and im going to view them today the only thing was that the owner said it was missing the M sticker and the groove for it on the two front ones but on the back they are present , he said they came like that and they are still oem because they are stamped :shifty , i was wondering if anyone heard of a set coming like this ??

sorry let me clarify my question , he has a set of four contours , two of them (front) dont have the sticker or the groove for the stickers on them , he said that they did not come with them at all , i wanted to know if any oem contours came like this because i dont want to be bandoodled into buying reps , thanks

If there is no groove for a sticker, then they are probably fake.. alll four of my contours have the M emblam and groove for em

:D I'm no expert on the situation, but I've had two sets complete with spare and they all had inserts. I've never seen or heard of them not coming with inserts... Some self made BMW historian may very well pop up identifying that from June of 1996 through March of 1997, BMW secretly produced one insertless & emblemless Contour rim each Wednesday morning at 7:26 AM, only to be released in the summer of 1999 as a stealth M3 upgrade option, but it's more probable that they are fakes.

They are likely replicas. I have a set of 16inch Replica Contours from AT Italia that are the exact same except for the inset for the sticker.

post ad, any pictures?, most likely the front two are reps without a groove.

and BMW should DIAF for charging 6 bucks for those stickers. I had to replace one for 6 bucks when I got my car. 6 BUCKS for a sticker the size of my thumbnail.
