Can anyone else only roll up two windows at a time? I've never thought to ask others, but for some reason I can only roll up and down two windows at a time. Like this for all e34's? Or do I have an electrical issue?
Thanks for response..

you can wind up all the passenger ones at once, but driver and sunroof can only be done by themselves
I found this out by playing with the wind up feature when you lock the car with all windows down, and hold the key in the lock position
winds up all passenger ones, then drivers, then sunroof

no one's ever been able to tell me how to fix it. i'm not clued up on the electrics side of things so i don't understand what could have stopped working overnight :(

It's one of two problems. 1) there is a diode in the window switch block. If it goes bad, auto roll up/exterior roll up won't work...don't remember the ratings, but Radio Shat should have a replacement diode. -OR- 2) Something malfunctions in the actual lock cylinder on the door. (I don't remember if it's a diode or not...) but I seem to recall it requires a new door handle to fix. Try the pass. side door, if the windows roll up, it's the handle, if the auto-up feature doesn't work on the pass side either, it's the diode in the switch block.

Nope all my windows go up at the same time. But if i try to close the sunroof at the same time the passenger window stops going up.

Ha really? Thats so weird. Same type of problem as mine but completely different. I can roll two windows up at once, and the sunroof at the same time, but have to wait for the other two windows.. it has to be an electrical issue, frayed wires or fuse relay possibly. It's like it draws to much power or something. My e28 didn't have the problem, so it wouldn't make since why they would do that later on.
Thanks for the response! I'll look into it further. Anyone else have this issue?
