So I swapped my drivers door lock because the switches had failed and was making my alarm go nutso.
Any how, before i swapped it, i could lock the car no problem but unlocking it with the drivers door lock was tricky, had to get the right angle!

Now that I've swapped it, it no longer works... :( Is this because its just so worn out it needs new parts?

Does the driver's door itself fail to lock? On early cars the door lock actuator has to be lined up properly. Too close to the latch mechanism and the door won't unlock, too far away and the car won't lock.

No it locks fine, and unlocks fine as well. But when you put the key in the cylinder and turn it to unlock it doesnt feel like its catching at all.

Like it's not connected to anything you mean?
