The MotorSport Report (http://www.rmcbmwcca.org/newsletter.htm) is the newsletter of the Rocky Mountain Chapter (http://www.rmcbmwcca.org), BMW Car Club of America (http://www.bmwcca.org). If you're not yet a member, JOIN NOW! (http://www.bmwcca.org/whyjoin/whyfset.shtml) Besides the local newsletter and the excellent national magazine (http://www.bmwcca.org/Roundel/rdelfset.shtml) (Roundel), you'll enjoy member discounts on parts and labor at dealerships and shops around the chapter's service area (Colorado and SE Wyoming).

There are three ways to keep in touch with events:

Just came back fro the drive didn't see any of you from the g2g from a few weeks ago though, we had fun anyways, about 20 cars showed up, lots of e46 m3, couple very nicce in convertible form. It was a very long drive though totaled like 350 miles. Meet a lot of people from bmw cca, all were very cool. I Guess I see you guys at the autox next weekend.

Spencer, I really wanted to go to the track but I never been on a track before and didn;t want to go out there without someone showing me the ropes. I wasn;t sure if you were going or not so I just went the fall drive instead. When you go to the track again, let me know maybe we can get together before and make sure I can get pass tech inspections and make sure my car is right. Wanna get on the track once or twice before winter comes:D

Ya, might not have been the best first day out there. It was pretty crowded

Winter is the best time out there. :buttrock You basically have the track to yourself all day!

I'm pretty sure we are planning on a track day a week from next thursday or friday. I'll post up the details when we get it figured out.

Hope you can make it.

That's a wise idea. I think a driver's school would be minimal preparation, and even then a lot of novices aren't ready to "fly solo" after only one school. Someone who's not both (a) competent and (b) comfortable is a hazard to others and a danger to him/herself.
