spacers question

hi guys i have a question i mounted 20mm spacers on my car and the rims still rubs on the shock absorber on the front.so my question is how thick should i put them?the rims come from an e36 the brand is breyton magic

This is why you're rubbing. The offset is different(higher) for an E36 than an E34. What size/offset are the wheels/tires?
