View Full Version : What is there to do in Boston????
Hi everyone-
I am going up to New England this weekend and I do not know Boston whatsoever. Do you guys know of any cool places that have live music, like jazz or something.
Maybe some nice Italian restaurants you can recommend?
Thanks

There is a lot of nightlife if you make your way over to Landsdown St.... or maybe you can bum around Cambridge and find the House of Blues.
My favorite italian restaurant is Maggiano's Little Italy
on 4 Columbus Ave (in the theatre area). Its a big place, but I'd still call ahead on the weekends. Their food is unbelievable.
Haha, I just noticed that my three suggestions are nowhere close to each other. Sorry about that. If you want one place that has everything, I'd just wander around the Harvard Square area... you could find a restaurant, plenty of clubs/bars and probably some music.

When I was working up there, I found that you can't beat the North End for Italian Food. You can go to any restaurant there and have incredible food. I remember I went to one place and they didn't have what I wanted (Veal Piccatta), but I asked for it and they said no problem and made it.
About a 5 minute walk from there is Faneul Hall. There's a couple cool Irish bars there with live music. Not sure about Jazz though.
