Is there an SRS module in the E36's that's easy to get at and unplug? I know in my E30, it's as simple as getting underneath the dash, unplugging the module, and bam...SRS light goes out.
*EDIT* I just read that it was underneath the rear seat.
Remove the bulb from the cluster..

What are you trying to do? Remove the light? You only need to remove the cluster to do that...

it is much easyer to snip the wire comming from the airbag controll module under the rear seat. then just reconect the wire together afterwards.

i have read and write tools for the airbag module, im in westboro area or worcester.
sometimes itll come back right away so be warned of that when you have someone reset it. It's a gamble.
thats if its a hard set code, sometimes never, sometimes a month.

1) Pull the battery
2) Pull the cluster (two screws and it pops out - too easy)
3) Remove the bulb
4) Dump some black silicone or fill the slot with electrical tape - so no light carries through (the Airbag light has a failsafe for when the bulb goes out)
Let me know if you need help -
