Guy broke into my car. Broke my window almost ripped the drivers side bloster off the seat, broke the hood open, moved the car back 4 feet IN GEAR.

Car is an SMG and I have no idea how he moved it. The car pops out of gear and flashes.... what should I do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides call insurance and the police. I did that. The closest Dealer sucks. So I would rather take it to an Indy shop, the guy is cracy good with cars and at any time on the floor of his shop are lambos and such.

First sorry to hear about some low life trying to take what he could never earn! Yeah it has happened to me too. Now, I would say bring it to that guy to do all the cosmetic stuff but odds are he has zero experience with an SMG and will send it to the closest dealer if there is an issue with the SMG that takes more than an hour of his time. Few if any people have experience with SMGs outside of the dealer. The key is to not sign off with your insurance co. or accept the car if there is still an issue with the tranny. Had same problem with an exhaust leak after getting rear ended. The headers had snapped a mounting stud at the head and caused a leak that the body shop couldn't find. Eventually after me refusing to take the car because it sounded like a vespa they sent it to a dealer. Fixed the next day! Good luck.

sad thing is they drove past an e36 m3 to get to mine. The E36 is easier to steal......

I see you live in the 24hr party city, so where was the car parked?
On a street?
In a public garage?
Next time I am in Vegas I want to avoid that unlucky spot!

The moving back 4 ft and the likely related popping out of gear and flashing now, doesn't sound good at all!

What did they use to move it back? a tow truck, a crane on a flat bed or just a gorilla? :) I wonder why they didn't succeed at taking it? What were they after? What is the value of the car?

I would take in to the dealership because the transmission issue would be the kind of thing they should be able to fix correctly. This is considering it's the insurance who is paying.

My bet along with the other guy is the hood sensors. Also check the "teroidal coil" around where your key goes and see if it was tampered with. If it does end up being an SMG problem the dealer will no likely fix it but just reccomend replacing it as a unit. The roulette table was ...funny:shifty
