Hey everyone.

I bought a 1995 540i manual about 1.5 months ago. It now has 101k miles and is in very good condition. It's due for some new parts and I'd like to get the forums feedback on what I should be looking at for install costs?

I've priced out the parts and will have the mechanic install them for me.

Here is what I am looking at:
· Complete brake install (new rotors, pads, brake fluid flush, stainless steel lines)
· Lower thrust arm/control arm install with new bushings
· Steering wheel alignment and steering wheel box alignment (plus turning the screw on the steering wheel to tighten it)
· New tires
· Replace valve gasket cover (currently leaking into spark plugs)

I'm looking to have all five services done at once. Any idea money wise what this would cost?

Also, can I have BMW shop recommendations in NYC/Long Island/Staten Island/West Chester/NJ? Anything in those areas would work for me. From looking at BimmerShops.com, L&M Foreign Cars got a lot of good reviews?

Thanks.

Does anyone have an idea of what I should generally expect for a cost? Or how many hours this would take?

If you are at all mechanically inclined, or have any friends who are, I'd look in to doing as much as you can yourself. This will be a VERY hefty bill otherwise.

Most of us e34 guys aren't fortunate enough to be blessed with a large income and have to watch our own backs on these things :)

Let's put it this way, I have a feeling this is one of those if you have to ask, you cant afford it type deals.
